• Can make your home less expensive to cool

• Reduces glare and improves the comfort of your home

• Can improve the safety and privacy of your home

• Enhances the value and appearance of your home

Why do results vary so greatly among companies?

Sunset Tint has been in business since 1991, and we've developed our techniques for the cleanest applications possible. Film is a very fragile material– easily creased and wrinkled. Simple things such as knowing how to handle the film can only come with experience.

Experience comes with time. Experience also determines how well the film is cut to fit to the window. There will be a certain amount of space (gap) between the edge of the film and the window seal. A crooked or large gap is very unappealing. We've developed our techniques over the years on every type of window seal, to give the most appealing finish possible.

Contamination. Good cleaning techniques and quick smooth application of the film to the window greatly reduce contamination (hair, lint, dust). Contamination is impossible to eliminate completely– it's more of a question of how much you will get. This is where the skill of the installer is matters. An inexperienced installer who struggles with the film is more likely to get contamination and creases. Even on the toughest seals, such as flaking wood frames, our installations are turning out cleaner than what the average company gets with new clean seals.

Material. We have made a commitment to use only the best metalized films from reputable manufacturers such as LLumar. We could save a lot of money by using cheaper films; we receive solicitations all the time from companies offering films at much lower prices. This might be very tempting this to "fly by night" companies. But since we are in this for the long haul, this means doing it right the first time.

Workmanship. Remember, a good tint job requires both quality film and quality workmanship: it's not just a question of what you put on, but how it's put on. At Sunset Tint we use professional grade LLumar window film and our application methods are at the industry forefront. Getting a top quality film is a waste if it's not applied by an expert. By all means, make sure you are getting a good quality metallized film, which comes with a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer, not just the tint shop. Contact us today for an estimate.

Security Films

Are you missing the advantages of safety, energy efficiency, UV protection, security, and comfort? Now, there's a simple way to enhance your facility immeasurably with all these features– even deterring graffiti vandals. All with LLumar Magnum safety and security film.

Did You Know?

When violent acts, natural disasters, vandalism or accidents shatter your building's windows, flying glass can be responsible for most of the damage, and injuries and deaths may occur. And the truth is much of the destruction resulting from these lethal shards can be controlled– even prevented– in corporate and retail buildings, restaurants, hotels, and homes, with LLumar Magnum safety and security films.

Invisible Protection. LLumar Magnum films are made with layers of polyester film bonded by special adhesives. Easily installed to the interior of new glass or existing glass, the film forms an almost invisible shield that holds glass shards intact when a pane breaks. This can effectively reduce flying glass-related injuries that can result from everything from a hurricane or earthquake tremor to a terrorist attack. Various levels of film protection are available to address various hazard levels.

Keep Out Harmful UV Rays. LLumar's solar version is impregnated with UV absorbers that block up to 99% of the sun's harmful UV rays– dangerous perpetrators that can fade and deteriorate furnishings and displays. It can even block excessive glare that can distort retail displays or impede office productivity.

Enhance Energy Efficiency. LLumar Magnum films also contain high performance metals that enhance heat rejection properties. As a result, films can help you upgrade energy efficiency and make your premises more comfortable, reducing incoming solar energy up to 79%.

Brilliant Optical Clarity. And with LLumar Magnum, you don't have to sacrifice aesthetics: In fact, LLumar Magnum has brilliant optical clarity– with no yellowing or cloudy overcast.

Easy & Durable. Installation is quick, virtually mess free and offers you a lasting solution. In fact, LLumar Magnum offers the highest durability in the industry, and a patented scratch resistant coating. Maintenance is simple too. LLumar Magnum coated windows can be easily cleaned using conventional washing methods.

Plus, all LLumar films are backed by a full manufacturer's warranty from CPFilms Inc., the world leader in protective window films.

Anti-Graffiti Film

Help Shield Your Surface. LLumar Magnum Graffiti Film offers a complete surface protection system for windows and surfaces that are vulnerable to damage. Made with layers of polyester film bonded by special adhesives and impregnated with ultraviolet inhibitors, Graffiti Film offers protection against graffiti vandals, glass-taggers, and smash-and-grab robbers. This film offers such a transparent clarity without distortion that vandals won't even know that it's there. That's why it is so attractive to so many types of businesses and for so many different applications.

The Harder to Smash it, the Harder to Grab it. The smash-and-grab robbery is among the most expensive for retailers. The Florida Retailers Association has estimated that this type of robbery can cost between $26,000 to more than $100,000 per incident, while a major department store has reported that their chain has lost more than $2 million from this type of robbery.

Scratch-Resistant Coating. Only LLumar Magnum comes with the patented crystal clear scratch-resistant coating, the industry's toughest and most durable coating on polyester films. The thickness of the films helps stop the glass from being defaced while the scratch-resistant coating allows the vandal to think that he was able to get in the glass. Plus, it allows a care-free maintenance because, unlike other films, LLumar can be cleaned with everyday household window cleaning solutions.

Beyond Graffiti Protection. And offers increased security against even this costly crime. Through the unique adhesive that bonds it to glass, LLumar Graffiti Films remains attached to the window, binding the glass together and keeping it intact for much longer than most smash-and-grabbers can afford to wait. Because it keeps the glass intact for longer than it normally takes to shatter a window, LLumar Graffiti Films offers a powerful deterrent to the smash-and-grab robber.

Easy Installation & Removal. Whether it is applied to vertical or sloped glass, on mirrors or stainless steel, in malls, on buses, or in office buildings, LLumar Magnum Graffiti Film can be quickly and easily installed by Sunset Tint. And because it's installed as a retrofit product directly to the surface, it can be easily removed or replaced.

So many applications. You'll find LLumar Graffiti Film in every type of business establishment from department stores to mall to municipal transit systems, movie theatres and office buildings, on everything from showcases, windows, display cases, bathroom mirrors, subway windows, doors, elevators, and building exteriors. Plus, LLumar Magnum Graffiti Film is enhanced with special inhibiting agents that reject up to 99% of the sun's damaging ultraviolet rays to dramatically reduce fading and deterioration of the items behind the glass.
